When in doubt....Have a Blackwater

I'm going to cut this short. This clown of a college student, James O'Keefe. Puts on a Bull-Shit Bozo costume, goes go an Acorn office, talks some idiot smack, edits the video..... and everyone believes him and Acorn loses federal funding. Check the link on James. He is a bad conservative satirist. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/19/us/19sting.html

BUT.... Blackwater USA can pimp out baby Iraqi girls for a buck a blow job......

http://rawstory.com/rawreplay/?p=3858

The declarations added Iraqi minors got involve in sexual acts with Blackwater members in exchange for one dollar and Erik Prince, the firm's owner, "failed to stop the ongoing use of prostitutes, including child prostitutes, by his men.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=102887&sectionid=3510203

Now Blackwater has been around for about ten years..... and did great work in the Bush years...

A NY Times article
Aug. 21, 2009

In 2002, Blackwater won a classified contract to provide security for the Central Intelligence Agency station in Kabul, Afghanistan, and the company maintains other classified contracts with the C.I.A. Over the years, Blackwater has hired several former top agency officials, including Cofer Black, who ran the C.I.A. counterterrorism center immediately after the Sept. 11 attacks. C.I.A. operatives regularly use Blackwater's training complex in North Carolina.
In 2004, the C.I.A. hired contractors from Blackwater as part of a secret program to locate and assassinate top operatives of
Al Qaeda, according to current and former government officials. Blackwater executives helped the spy agency with planning, training and surveillance, and the C.I.A. spent several million dollars on the program, which did not successfully capture or kill any terrorist suspects.

Now that must have been a peachy contract in 2002. Of course they may not have killed or captured any terrorists in Afganistan.... but they sure did a nice job killing civilians in Iraq

http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090817/scahill

.... of course they have been kicked out of Iraq. Or maybe..... but there is still plenty of jobs in Afganistan.

Nation 8/14
Blackwater is bidding on more contracts in Afghanistan, which is increasingly becoming the new gold mine for the war industry. Nearly 70,000 contractors are now deployed in Afghanistan on the US government payroll, meaning there are now more contractors than US soldiers (48,000) in Afghanistan.

Well.... if I get laid off...... maybe there's Blackwater...

Maybe we should send James O'Keefe to Iraq! He has the pimp bit down. He could discover the truthiness of it all!

Is it any wonder I drink beer?

Senin, 28 September 2009

Some mondays taste like old beer. Which is better, I suppose, that those that feel like old underwear.

I will spare the visual on the later. Even Mondays must maintain a modicum of restraint and good taste.

But then again....

I Love Sarah

Sarah Palin was in Hong Kong the other day to pick out some Red China for her retirement condo.

The event marked the former student from North Idaho College (1983) first major public appearance since abruptly resigning as governor in July.

Palin, who quit the governorship of Alaska during a particularly gruesome episode of menustrual cramps, gave speech to a packed audience of financial professionals in the former British colony that was closed to media.

The former student of Hawaii Pacific University (Fall 1982) didn't clarify what her plans might be in her speech, but did attack the widening U.S. fiscal deficit and Obama's health-care reforms.

"It's just common sense to realize the government's attempts to solve large problems like the health-care challenges that we have, more often creates new ones," EX-Governor Palin, who did matriculate, somewhat, at Matanuska-Susitna College (Fall 1985) quipped with a wink.

"If you want real job growth, you cut taxes and reduce tax rates on all Americans ... Cut taxes, eliminate taxes, slay the death tax," The Journalism student from
University of Idaho (Fall 1984 - Spring 1985-Spring 1986- Fall 1986 -Spring 1987 ) said.

"Get federal spending under control then you step back and you watch the U.S. economy roar back to life."

Asked about the difficulties of balancing her political career with her home life, Palin said today: “I have a husband. I could have used a wife.”

Hmmmmmm...... now we know what to get Sarah for Christmas

NUTZ in AMERICA!

Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Acorn Party?

Are you, or any member of your family, currently a squirrel, thinking about being a squirrel or have ever shared nuts with anyone who may be a squirrel?

I have in my hand a list of 1.12 billion known squirrels in the United States. Some have been know to inhabit the District of Columbia, which is where our government makes decisions, and who are working and shaping the policy of the State Department .

Conservatism is Americanism with its sleeves rolled. There are no Acorns in Americanism.

"Now, Mr. Jimm, by his own admission, was a member of the ISWW (that's the Industrial Squirrel Workers of the World), a terrorist organization cited as subversive..." Rush Limbaugh

Good night, and good luck.

for my children's children

........................but, if years do not bring failure, they will perhaps
help you to understand how our thoughts and, therefore, our
expressions change. If you have your joys, you will have
your sorrows ; if your lives have shades, they will have their
lights, to show the contrast ; and then you will understand
my thoughts, and why I wrote them down. I should like to
live to see those days ; but, whether I do or not, in your
hearts may I always live as your affectionate

FATHER.

It's only words

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

I think I am deadly tired of working in the fucking word factory. If one more stupid shill asks me one more fucking stupid question, I swear I will spew lukewarm coffee at them!

Lobbyists Spend Millions to Influence Health Care By Dan Eggen
Drugmakers, hospitals and insurers continued to pour millions of dollars into lobbying during the second quarter of this year, hoping to limit the damage to their bottom line as lawmakers and the Obama administration wrangle over landmark health-care legislation. New disclosure reports that began arriving Monday in Congress showed familiar players at the top of the health-care influence heap, including $6.2 million in lobbying by the dominant Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and $4 million by the American Medical Association. Many health companies and associations increased their first-quarter lobbying expenditures, sometimes dramatically. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association upped its lobbying expenditures by a full million, to 2.8 million dollars in the second quarter; GlaxoSmithKline's spending jumped from $1.8 million to $2.3 million; Novartis grew from $1.4 million to $1.8 million; and Metlife Group reported $1.7 million, up nearly 50 percent. Allstate, which spent less than $900,000 on lobbying through March, boosted its spending to more than $1.5 million from April to June.
*** of course you have to spend money to make money..... boy& Howdy!! Sociali-nazism would just plain stop all that free enterprize lobbying...

Blood Drive!

I'll do anything for free cookies and doughnuts! The last time the blood drive was in town I was interviewed on local TV..... one of those "where ya from..how ya doing...why do YOU give blood" kinda local-color things. I just deadpanned for the camera..." I only donate because of the free cookies", and then rather forgot about it.

Later, that same night, I am at a concert at the river and a complete stranger comes up to me and said, " I know you! You're the guy on TV who donates blood for cookies!"

Boy, was I proud.

I hope they have the peanut-butter ones today.
I only do it for cookies.

Break me UP!

OK. I am not the most 'tech-type' person around ol' Dodge City..... I am getting there, though, and am proud to report I can now tie my own shoe laces...... but I read something today and I gotzta make my own comment.... and I have to relay how it all came about.... bear with me.

So I'm reading the blogs today.... and I go to http://www.mockpaperscissors.com/ where the esteemed Tengrain ( Graves, you Swine!) had posted this nifty link and tidbit about Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream celebrating Vermont's recognition of Gay Marriage.
(see, I doan know how to make cool links)

Anyways.... I support whatever two consenting adults want to do..... whether it is getting a couple of beers or getting married.... or sharing some ice cream.... ain't no deal as far as I'm concerned. But what broke me up, big time, is at the bottom of the article from the Boston Herald is a quote from a dude called Brian Camenker of some quazi-moronic group called MassResistance.org who must either really not like ice-cream or gay people or both ..

(my guess is he has a long list of things he doesn't like and further believes that no one should like the things he dislikes) ...

..and the article quotes good ol Brian

"It’s a bad idea, especially because I think they’re just doing it to rub it in that Vermont has legalized gay marriage,”

which kinda breaks me up; I get this visualization of celebrating a marriage by rubbing ice-cream on your marriage partner. (which I think is a good thing. Gees, my heterosexual marriage could have use more ice-cream rubbing!) Now at this point I am thinking good thoughts about ice-cream, and some really nice thoughts about Ben&Jerry's... and making a mental note to stop at grocery after work.... but I am a bit curious about http://www.massresistance.org/.... and as I know that a bear does shit in the woods, I thought I would tip-toe over there and see what kind of shit they have there.... and what flavors.

WOWSERS!! What a fun little spot! I found.................

The Coming Nightmare of a “Transsexual Rights and Hate Crimes" Law in Massachusetts:Why Bill H1728 Must Be Defeated....

which the good folks at MassResistance feels is interfering with their God-given right to discriminate, hate and bash!
and...

Brutal fascist tactics against citizens
The homosexual movement cannot achieve their goals without eventually resorting to brutal tactics of intimidation and even terror. After lying and personal demonization, this is always the next logical step. And it will continue -- and escalate -- as long as the population is unwilling to fight back.

.... oh, shit! Brutal terrorist homosexuals! Damn! Ya know, there's one in my office! He was really really intimidating the other day when he asked to borrow a dollar!~ It probably will escalate ... I bet he asks to borrow two bucks next week!~

Wowsers! Sounds like killer bees! Better call Orkin!
OK. I have had enough. Of fear, and hate, and bile and bigotry, bullshit....

If I really want something to fear I can worry that Grizzly Bears will migrate to Wisconsin and start delivering Chinese food.

Now that is something we should all be concerned about.....
Chinese Delivery Bears!
I gotzta get some ice cream on the way home tonight!
